A combination of four photos from our Swedish meadows with the wild flowers. These photos are coming in bigger size here 1. Red Clover (Trifolium Medium) and Meadow Vetchling (Lathyrus Pratensis) 2. Hare Bells or tiny Blue Bells (Campanula Rotundifolia) 3. Lady's Mantle (Alchemilla Vulgaris) and Tormentil (Potentilla Erecta). A few Speedwell (Veronica Officinalis) in the corner 4. "Midsommarblomster" = Swedish for Midsummer flower (Geranium Sylvaticum) this meadow flower has commonly that name in Swedish as it is dominating the meadows and roadsides at this time of the year, the most beloved celebration in our Nordic Country. A name in English is Wood Crane's Bill At midsommer the smaller road sides can be filled with Crane's Bill (Geranium Silvaticum), Buttercup (Ranunculus Polyanthemos) and Queen Anne's Laces (Anthriscus Sylvestris) Speedwell (Veronica Chamaedrys) is hiding in the grass. |
